Described as 'flirtatiously funky' by the Scotsman, The Shee’s music features original compositions alongside a wealth of traditional material. Their adventurous brew of Scottish folk, Gaelic song, and Bluegrass has earned them considerable recognition and performances at festivals including Cambridge and Celtic Connection.
In recognition of their 10th anniversary year, the sextet is showcasing music from their album Continuum which was released in 2016. This comprises four original and six specially-commissioned new works from their favourite folk composers: Andy Cutting, Brian Finnegan, Karine Polwart, Martin Simpson, Kathryn Tickell and Chris Wood.
“Continuum is a unique collaboration, of which the band and their contributors should be proud” Proper Music.com
