Facilities and information

Enjoying the performance

If you arrive late, then we do have to wait to an appropriate moment in the performance before escorting you to your seats, but we'll always try our best to make it as soon as possible. If you need to leave the auditorium to help your child visit the toilet, please do not worry - it happens a lot! - please seek out a member of staff to help you return to your seats.

At family events, we expect noise and gasps of excitement from children - it's great to hear them engaging with the performance and enjoying themselves. All we ask is that during a cinema performance, or an event that is not advertised as a family event, children (and adults!) try and keep the sweet wrapping rustling, munching and talking to a minimum, as it's not part of the performance!

Parking

There is free car parking to the side of The Coliseum, to the rear of The Muni in the Goods Car Park (free after 6.00pm, a small charge prior to that) and limited free parking for the Park & Dare in the library car park opposite the front of the building.

If the car park at The Coliseum and Park & Dare are full and you have to park on a residential street, we would really appreciate it if you could help our wonderful neighbours, and avoid blocking their drives.

Storage

Unfortunately, there are no cloakroom or storage facilities for pushchairs at any of the venues. We can store a few folded pushchairs behind the box office, but have to stress that we cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage that may occur to any pushchair while it is stored in this area.

Snacks and feeding

A range of soft drinks, snacks and popcorn are available pre-performance and during the interval at all three venues. At all venues, we would be more than happy to warm up a bottle for you, and/or provide you with hot water. We are family orientated venues and are happy to accommodate you as much as possible if you require a quiet place to breastfeed.

Extra help for you

When booking your tickets, please advise staff on any particular requirements you may have - we are more than happy to help and advise you. If you have any worries, questions or require further information or wish to let the venue know about particular needs, please do not hesitate to phone.

Babies and very young children

To comply with licensing and health and safety requirements, all audience members, including babies and children, must be in possession of a valid ticket. There is no charge for this ticket for children under the age of 2. Children under the age of 8 MUST be accompanied by an adult, who must accept full responsibility for the children in their care at all times.

Age Limits

Some events have an age limit for attendance - please see the event summary details for each show, which will warn you of any age limits to the particular performance. Please also take account of the certificate for every film that we screen. If you are unsure about any event and its age limit, please contact the venue. Children under the age of 8 must NEVER be left at any of the venues unattended.
