If you’ve ever caught one of Chris Smither’s live performances, you know it’s hard not to come away knocked out by the amount of music that comes out of one man.

Sarah Jarosz

Multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Sarah Jarosz made a name for herself as a bluegrass prodigy, releasing her debut album in 2009 at the age of 18.   GRAMMY and Americana Music Award nominations, a trio of Austin Music Awards and invitations to perform on television quickly followed.

She remains one of the most exciting young voices in folk music. Her approach to acoustic music is expansive and vital; she sees no need to choose between old-timey and modern material; between picking, singing and writing; between experimenting and reviving tradition. She does all of it, and then some.

There is nothing to compare with the excitement of experiencing Bellowhead live. From the wild, rousing dance tunes to the theatricality of their ballads & sea songs this is a band that are also funny, subtle and always engaging.

Admire the sophisticated strings and elegant whirlwind of woodwind. Let yourself be uplifted by the powerful interplay of melodeon and mandolin.

Be mesmerized by the deluge of deranged percussion, the beat at the heart of the band, while marvelling at the strange array of bent metal - the growling helicon and the euphoric horns.

But mostly come prepared to dance like you have never danced before to the spectacular, show-stopping 22-legged groove machine that is Bellowhead.
