As part of its ongoing commitment to showing film across it’s three venues, Rhondda Cynon Taf Cultural Services have been successful in it's bid and received a grant of £2,000 from the Film Agency For Wales to develop it's film programme in the New Year. The Coliseum Theatre, The Muni Arts Centre and The Park & Dare Theatre will benefit and it will enable the creation of a specialist, themed film series at each of the theatres.
This new regular programme of specialist film will run in addition to the mainstream film programme. It will include an exciting range of specialist films, presented across the three theatres, from literary classics to international children's film that are not normally available to audiences at the venues in the Rhondda Cynon Taf area.
Starting in January, each theatre will have its own individual programme. The Coliseum will be screening a Literary Classics season based around adaptations from the page to the big screen. The Muni Arts Centre will be centring on children and families with a truly international programme, while in the grand auditorium of the Park & Dare Theatre the glamour of the Oscar-winning greats will come to life.
In addition to the screenings, some of the films will include introductions, after show discussions and competitions. To find out more on this exciting new development, add a comment, or contact Simon Davey by emailing or call 01685 888689.
