Our vision
Our vision is to support the development of the arts as a means of improving the quality of life for local people and visitors, inspiring individual learning, and contributing to the social, economic, and environmental transformation of the county borough. As Cultural Services we aim to support cultural development, and the contribution of cultural activities to social inclusion, health and well-being, lifelong learning, regeneration and other council cross-cutting priorities.
To continue to make our vision a reality, we work with and support many vital community, council and business partners, and our valued customers and users, to achieve:
- An imaginative, adventurous and valued programme of arts and entertainment activities, meeting the needs, and developing the tastes and expectations of local people and visitors to the county.
- A strong cultural identity for Rhondda Cynon Taf, which includes everybody, celebrates diversity, and presents a positive image of the county borough.
- A creative community, inspired to learn through participation in cultural activity.
- A sustainable infrastructure of people and buildings, able to support the delivery of a broad range of cultural activity across the county borough.
- Sustainable growth for local creative industries, improving their capacity to support the regeneration of the county borough.
